The Original Formula 1 Circuit Jewelry Concept – Created in 2002

In the world of luxury jewelry, innovation often comes from the fusion of art, passion, and culture. One of the most unique examples of this fusion is jewelry inspired by the silhouettes of Formula 1 circuits.

What many people do not know is that this concept was originally created and presented in 2002 by Italian goldsmith artist Gianfranco Quartaroli, years before the idea became widely known.

The Birth of the Formula 1 Circuit Jewelry Concept

The idea was born from a passion for motorsport and design. In 2002, Gianfranco Quartaroli developed an innovative jewelry concept based on the iconic outlines of Formula 1 racing circuits, transforming them into wearable works of art.

The collection was officially presented for the first time in 2002 at the Valenza Jewelry Fair, one of the most important events for the international jewelry industry.

This presentation introduced the world to a new artistic vision:

transforming legendary racing tracks into fine jewelry.

A Registered Design in Italy

The originality of the concept was formally protected through a registered design patent.

The design was officially registered as “Disegni e Modelli” (Design and Models) and granted by the Italian Ministry of Productive Activities, recognizing the uniqueness of the jewelry concept inspired by Formula 1 circuits.

This registration confirmed the innovative character of the project and its artistic value within the jewelry sector.

The First Licensing Agreement with a Formula 1 Circuit

Another historic milestone was achieved when the first licensing agreement with a Formula 1 circuit was established with the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

This collaboration marked an important moment in the relationship between motorsport and luxury jewelry, allowing the official creation of jewelry pieces inspired by one of the most legendary tracks in Formula 1 history.

The First Jewelry Inspired by the Monaco Grand Prix Circuit

The project continued to evolve internationally with the creation of jewelry inspired by the Monaco Grand Prix circuit, one of the most iconic tracks in the world.

These pieces were created in collaboration with Gioielleria Bernasconi, under an official agreement with the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM).

The Monaco circuit, famous for its elegant and challenging street layout, became a refined and distinctive piece of jewelry design.

Motorsport Meets High Jewelry

This pioneering project represents a unique meeting point between:

  • high jewelry craftsmanship
  • motorsport culture
  • Italian design innovation

By transforming the silhouettes of legendary Formula 1 circuits into precious jewelry, the collection created a completely new category in the jewelry world.

A Vision That Started in 2002

More than twenty years later, jewelry inspired by racing circuits continues to attract attention. However, the original concept dates back to 2002, when Italian goldsmith artist [Nome] first introduced and protected the idea.

From the Valenza Jewelry Fair presentation to collaborations with Monza and Monaco, the project remains a milestone in the intersection between luxury jewelry and Formula 1 heritage.
